Viscose is made from a natural raw material found in wood, called cellulose. It is obtained by a chemical process and then pressed into fibres. This is why a Viscose yarn is neither a 100% natural yarn, like Cotton or Silk, nor a synthetic fibre yarn, like Polyester or Acrylic. However, a fabric made from Viscose yarns is more environmentally friendly than a fabric made from synthetic yarns.
